Pato Gregorio named as the new head of PSC

Newly appointed Philippine Sports Commission Chairman John Patrick ‘Pato’ Gregorio has assumed chairmanship, today, following a ceremonial turnover at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila.

Chairman Gregorio has extensive experience as sports executive including his presidency at the Philippine Rowing Association prior to leading the role of overseeing the national sports programs. Under his helm, rowers Cris Nievarez and Joanie Delgaco qualified in the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics, respectively.

He also held different positions in sports including as the Philippine Basketball Association chairperson and as part of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas executive board.

In the ceremonial turnover, former Chairman Richard Bachmann handed over the PSC flag to Chairman Gregorio to formally signal his incumbency as the 13th head of the sports agency.

Chairman Gregorio was also welcomed by the Board of Commissioners Comm. Walter Francis Torres, Comm. Matthew ‘Fritz’ Gaston, and Comm. Edward Hayco. Comm. Olivia ‘Bong’ Coo also extended her support to the new leadership while in an official trip.
