The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) highlighted the importance of government and private sector collaboration during the 2nd Inter-Agency Meeting for the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships (MWCH) at the GSIS Conference Hall in Pasay City.

During his opening remarks, PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann praised the efforts of all the government  agencies and the private sector in achieving an excellent hosting of the topnotch global volleyball tilt.

“Your dedication is truly commendable, and we greatly appreciate your efforts in raising the standards of what the Philippines can offer as a host of such prestigious events.” Bachmann said to more than 30 government agencies and private entities at the meeting.

On February 10, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. signed the Administrative Order 30, establishing an inter-agency task force to ensure the country’s successful hosting of the tournament.

The PSC leads the task force, with the Department of Tourism headed by Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco serving as the Vice Chairperson.

Bachmann emphasized that this order from the Palace helped the preparations  progress swiftly with the unified goal of delivering an outstanding experience for delegates, spectators, and volleyball fans worldwide.

Key updates on the tournament preparations, side activities, and logistics were also tackled at the meeting, with just 193 days remaining, as of writing, until the opening of the tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, where Alas Pilipinas will face the 11-time African champion and world no. 24 Tunisia.

Scheduled for September 12-28, 2025, the global volleyball championship will be held across two venues: the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
