The Philippine Sports Commission received Senate committee approval for its fiscal year 2025 budget proposal after presenting key projects, including the ongoing support from grassroots to elite level of athletes, and major rehabilitation and upgrades of sports infrastructures.

Chairman Richard Bachmann emphasized the agency’s programs prioritizing athletes’ welfare and serving all sectors, including persons with disabilities, women’s participation in sports, and Indigenous Peoples, among others. He highlighted how these initiatives align with President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.’s principles within the Bagong Pilipinas brand of governance.

Joining Bachmann in the briefing presided by the Committee on Sports and Health Chairperson Sen. Bong Go were Commissioners Edward Hayco and Matthew Gaston, Executive Director Paulo Francisco Tatad, and Deputy Executive Director Atty. Guillermo Iroy Jr.
