MANILA, Philippines — Sinimulan na kahapon ni Commissioner Bong Co ang pagiging Officer-in-Charge (OIC) ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) sa pamumuno sa flag-raising ceremony sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Vito Cruz, Manila.

Inisyu ng Office of the President ang Memorandum Circular No. 1 s. 2022 na nagbibigay sa dating national bowler ng kapangyarihan na pamahalaan ang sports agency.

Ito ay habang wala pang iniluluklok si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. na kapalit ni chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez sa PSC.

“I am happy to be one of the workforce of the Philippine Sports Commission,” ang talumpati ni Coo sa harap ng mga PSC emplo­yees. “I am not worried at all given this task because I know that I have the best team ever and we are a team.”

Opisyal na pinanumpa ng Presidente ang 74-anyos na four-time world bowling champion bilang PSC Commissioner noong Huwebes sa Malacañang Palace.

Wala pang inihahayag si PBBM na papalit kay Ramirez at makakasama ni Coo, isang Philippine Sports Hall of Famer, bilang mga Commissioners.
