Gonzales said the venue brings prestige to the event which marks the newspaper's 37th anniversary on July 12.

"We would like to thank Manila Prince Hotel for being our partner in the inaugural staging of the tournament," said Tempo editor Rey Bancod.

Presented by Manila Prince Hotel, the tournament is sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and supported by the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), SM Supermalls, Mighty Sports Apparel and Accessories, ICTSI and 1-Pacman party-list.
