A total of 32 teams will compete for honors in the 2nd PSC Inter-Public Schools Volleyball Tournament opening at 9 a.m. tomorrow at the Davao City National High School in Davao.

Karlo Pates, executive assistant of Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner Charles Raymond Maxey, said the tournament will have eight teams each entered in the elementary boys and girls and secondary boys and girls divisions.

The event, which offers cash prizes of R5,000, R4,000 and R3,000 to the top three teams in each category, is held in partnership with Sports Development Division-City Mayor’s Office and Department of Education Davao City.

Maxey said: “This is one of our grassroots sports programs for volleyball. We want to provide an avenue for volleyball players from public schools in the city to engage in a healthy and competitive environment through this event.”
